Our history
Galileo Global Education is the leader in private higher education group operating in 13 countries across Europe, as well as in Senegal, Mexico, India, and China.
The group's journey began in 2011 when Providence Group acquired Istituto Marangoni (Italy).
Key milestones include:
- 2016: Acquisition of Studialis, significantly expanding the group's presence in France
- 2018: Integration of Studi, strengthening online education capabilities
- 2020: Acquisition of Regent's University London, marking expansion into UK
- 2021: Growth in healthcare education through IPETH acquisition and creation of Eva Santé
2022: Expansion into new sectors with ELIJE law school creation and acquisition of AKAD University (Germany) and TAI School of arts (Spain)
Today, Galileo Global Education is owned by a consortium of prestigious investors including Téthys Invest, BpiFrance, The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and Montagu, positioning the group for continued growth in global education.
